Brie with Wild Maine Blueberry Vodka Sauce

Brie with Wild Maine Blueberry Vodka Sauce

It may be cold outside but I have a wonderful reminder of warm summer days spent in Maine. This is so easy to do as an appetizer or quick snack.

For my Wild Maine Blueberry Vodka Sauce, Wild Maine Blueberries are hand raked during the height of the season. Maine is a major blueberry producer because we have the perfect climate, acidic soil and dedicated Maine farmers committed to preserving this incredible, super healthy treasure!

So for those cozy nights by the fire you can bring the fresh taste of summer back with my Wild Maine Blueberry Vodka Sauce. It's combined with vodka, onions and jalapenos for a taste that can't be described. Literally. I ask customers are tastings and food shows all the time to describe the sauce and they can't- but they buy it!!!!

Even though I use jalapenos and a bit of hot sauce it's not super hot so don't worry. Remember I'm a self proclaimed wimp when it comes to spice!  Wild Maine Blueberry Vodka Sauce is Gluten Free so if you are watching your Gluten switch to a Gluten Free cracker and you will be free to enjoy!

This is very easy to prepare making you look like a rockstar once again just by using a sauce!

1. Unwrap a wedge or package of brie. Don't try to remove the outer casing on the cheese.

2. Place the wedge in an ovenproof dish and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

3. Top with Wild Maine Blueberry Vodka Sauce and bake about 5 minutes more- until it's soft and melty!

4. Serve with crackers of your choice. I prefer Club crackers.
